From an Instagram Page to The Stourbridge Small Business Platform
We Are Stourbridge started in 2021 with a super simple idea, I just wanted to share local businesses in Stourbridge on Instagram.
I’d see amazing Stourbridge businesses; cafes, hairdressers, artists, fitness classes, photographers, bakers and I remember thinking, why don’t more people know about these places?
So I started posting them.
Just sharing Stourbridge small businesses, on instgram.
I didn’t have a big plan.
I didn’t have a website.
I didn’t have a business model.
I just knew that local businesses deserved to be seen.
Over time, more people started following the page.
More businesses started messaging asking to be featured.
People started using the page to find places to visit, shop and things to do in Stourbridge.
And that’s when I realised this was becoming something bigger than just an Instagram page.
So We Are Stourbridge started to grow….
From:
- Just an Instagram page
- To:
- A growing Stourbridge small business community
- A Facebook page and group
- Local business meet ups and networking
- Collaborations and events
- And now… a full Stourbridge small business directory and website
And this is only the beginning.

Hi, I’m Yasmin the person behind We Are Stourbridge 
I’m a local business owner in Stourbridge myself, so I know first-hand how hard it can be to get your business seen.
Social media is crowded. Advertising is expensive. And sometimes it feels like you’re shouting into the void.
That’s a big part of why I built We Are Stourbridge.
